HOW TO PROTECT OUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT
FROM SOCIAL ENGINEERING?

1)   DONT POST YOUR BANK ACCOUNT LINKED TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT ONLINE.
There is away to accept bank account payment linked to your paypal account with out exposing your bank info to the hacker.     The right practices we have tested can help you maintain your bank info and still make your banks available as payment gateway for your ecommerce business.  If you need to know how. Sign up for reservation/consultation with Paypal Security Module.

2)   IT'S BEST TO HAVE TWO BANK ACCOUNTS.
These will add a good layer of security to you and for your business. One bank account function as receiving transaction payments.  The other bank accounts you can use for Paypal withdrawals.  Normally EON is the bank linked to our Paypal account because its one of the very few banks that has zero withdrawal fee.  But it is also popular as one of the domestic online payment gateway. So how can you reconcile the use of EON product feature against security and protection from these new generation hackers?  There is a way.  You can enjoy the feature of EON as online payment gateway and have the layers of protections you need for your paypal account. This is possible without having to have a new bank account.

3)   HAVE A DIFFERENT EMAIL ACCOUNTS FOR PAYPAL and FOR ONLINE COMMUNICATION TO YOUR CLIENTS.
It is important for you to know that these paypal hackers are not hacking to your email accounts.   They just need to know if that email is a paypal account with that they can use the email to hack into your account.  Even if you change all your email password related to your paypal accounts, it will still be no good.  BEST YOU CAN DO?

Do not use your primary Paypal account as your Paypal email communication to your clients.   Better yet, do not use email account linked to your paypal account as communication to your online clients.  This is not a guaranteed protection but it will make it a little difficult for hackers to target you.  I will discuss why with a possible consultation.

4)   ASIDE FROM LOG-IN PASSWORD WITH PAYPAL, ITS BEST IF YOU ASSIGN A 6 DIGIT SECURITY  PIN.
Set your paypal account  with Customer Service PIN. It's an identity verification with a password.  For now it will not be the whole basis for your paypal security but eventually it will be of very good use to the whole community. Do the changes now.

5)   YOU ARE ALREADY A HACKED VICTIM WHAT SHOULD YOU DO.
If you are hacked once and you are able to regain control over your own paypal account.  The first thing you need to do it  take away all the email addresses link to your Paypal account that was compromised.  Make a new email address for your Paypal account, one that is not known or is exposed to these hackers.    Also take away all the bank account and the credit card that was exposed to the hacking incident.  It's important you replace them with a new bank and credit card numbers not exposed with anyone public.   But before you do that,  check the Merchant Multi-Feature and Manage Your Owner console of your Paypal account.  You need to take away information you did not input in your account.

Check closely, hackers can even use your own name to have access to your account.  If you do not know where it is, or how to find what the hacker is adding or doing to your account make a reservation with me I will teach you how to set your account and I will teach you how to take away what is not needed with in your account.  You should know how to navigate your own paypal site. You should know what is being added by the hacker after you got hacked. Take note the information with in your Paypal site can be use or reuse to hack your account.  It is still possible the hacker will strike again. So follow this instruction carefully.

6)  SET YOUR CONTACT INFO FOR FRAUD ALERT.
Set up your paypal account with multiple numbers available to you 24 hours.  I know it's hard to imagine how you can do that, but this is very important specially if your paypal account is already compromised.    Setting-up the contract info can be found on the "Profile Page".   Left side go to "Setting" add other contact numbers.  Be sure you will encode your number correctly on your Paypal Accounts.   Do not write (632) or +6320.  No need to write a zero before cell number.  Do not divide the numbers with hyphens ( - ) or  period  ( . )  in between the contact info. Just write the number of your home or cellphone as is.
Example:  Home Phone 4568555 or  for  Mobile line 906887690.

7)   LIMITATION and RESTRICTIONS FOR HACKED PAYPAL ACCOUNTS.
Normally we do not like paypal account limitations or restriction. But in cases your paypal account is hacked and fraudulent activities happen, this is an important process for paypal to investigate and make chargeback possible in your favor. This process can take between 10 to 180 days.  It means our paypal funds and other payments clients have sent our accounts are held or can not be withdrawn to your bank.  It may disrupt our business operation but best  you welcome this process and cooperate immediately with paypal.  Secure all the documents paypal will ask from you. This is to authenticate your personality as the rightful owner of the paypal account.  Prepare government issued IDs.  As soon as you have uploaded what is require call paypal hotline. Timing and quickly doing this is very important.  Believe it or not, hackers will try to beat you lifting the limitation for their favor.  I can show you how they are doing it.  I have copies and have catalog their strategies.

8) SKYPE CALLS FROM PAYPAL?  NO... IT'S THE HACKER CALLING YOU.     They use paid skype account numbers and will this is one of the numbers they are using  0017144081435.   The numbers can change they have several skype accounts.  The caller will have an american accent, normally sound like a woman or pretending to be a woman.  Do not entertain specially if the so called Paypal Agent will ask for your full bank account or credit card numbers for verification.  If Paypal will call you most likely it's for Fraud Alert.    This is a response you set up with your own paypal account. So if you did not set up that alert then something is wrong.  The Fraud Alert  is a  call to verify transactions.  If you are not the one who have executed the transaction, just tell the agent and go to your paypal account to secure access.

9) CHECK YOUR COMPUTER FOR VIRUSES.
Scan with paid AVG, or Norton, always refresh your cookies. You would know if you have a bug by checking the fonts of the words you are typing.  If there is a delay in the words when you are typing, if when you are typing words does not come out immediately, or when it comes out all words will be suddenly displayed, then virus scan and check  for bugs in your computer operating systems.   Bug is still a possibility to other types of hackers.

9)  PLISHING THE OLDEST TRICK ONLINE TO SCAM.
There are many format of plishing. Paypal is always warning their account users about these emails.  Recently I have encountered an email paypal that looks like it came from paypal, but it's spoof email meant to hacked and scam you.  No need to expand on this just do not reply to it. You can be sure if it is from Paypal by logging on to your paypal account. You can verify paypal emails by logging on to your accounts. Normally paypal emails are related to your paypal account.

All the above suggestion to protect your self can be override by the hackers once they regroup or once they have studied you.   Im sorry to say that is still very possible.  It is not because of Paypal, its because of our wrong practices online .  Computers and the internet is a sensitive environment, the easy accessibility of it is the one that makes it most attractive to us and  its also the primary reason we can be endanger with identity fraud,  financial fraudulent activities and to some worst cases you can loss alot of money.  If you do not know how to manage such situation sometimes the effect are permanent.   It will be hard for you to expand your online business with out Paypal they have the client base we need.   If you really need me to explain further enroll with the prepared module for Paypal Security.

At the end of the day in the event you encounter activities in your paypal account that you did not authorized, do not worry Paypal has ultimate Buyer's Protection Policies that will cover these fraudulent activities.   As soon as Paypal verifies your account or credit card was indeed compromised, the money that was credited to your account (THE AMOUNT THAT WAS STOLEN)  will be returned to you by paypal regardless if the hacker/theft got away with it.    You are covered from this activities up to 60 days and paypal will be paying for your losses.

If such a thing happen to you, or you know someone encounter this difficulty, email me at madam@sendmailloistic.com
